New Facebook Widget

Facebook have launched its first social widget for Facebook Connect.

The new "Comments Box" widget lets Facebook users post their opinions about Web sites and blogs to their Facebook profiles and share them with their connections.

It also allows non-Facebook users make comments about sites as well. Facebook said that users can manage the privacy and permissions of their comment boxes on an individual or widespread basis.

The widget launch comes at a time when Facebook is facing criticism after changing its terms and conditions without notifying its users.

Facebooks new terms and conditions stated that users "grant Facebook an irrevocable, perpetual, nonexclusive, transferable, worldwide license to use, copy, publish, stream, store, retain and distribute any user content you post." 

Facebook have now done a complete about turn and have reinstated the old terms and conditions but not before the situation had been thoroughly discussed on web news sites and blogs all week.
