Google joins EC Investigation

Google have announced that it is to join Mozilla (who make Firefox) in offering assistance to the European Commission (EC) investigation into alleged anti-competitive behaviour by its rival Microsoft.

The investigation began when a Statement of Objections was sent by the EC to Microsoft last month.  The statement expressed concerns in relation to the building of the web browser Internet Explorer (IE) with Windows and how it affects the competitiveness of the web browser market as a whole.
