New Search Engines could change SEO

Date: 21.04.2009

Although Google is still the biggest player in terms of the search engines, the world of search is set to become more competitive, therefore increasing the need for good website search engine optimisation (SEO).

Firstly, Microsoft is readying itself to make a big impact in the search engine market with a $100 million ad campaign this year for it’s new search engine.

In addition it appears that another search engine from Microsoft is being worked on.  It’s been reported that they have trademarked the name Sift which looks to be its brand name for a new mobile search engine.

Microsoft only had 10.3% of the search market share in March, but if they are able to dominate the area of mobile search the balance could all change rapidly.

This could also have an impact on SEO as more people access the web from mobile phones.  Our Search Engine Optimisation Manchester team have the expertise to help your business grow in the evolving world of internet marketing.
