Microsoft Expand into Ireland
Date: 10.08.2009Microsoft launched a new datacentre in July which is based Dublin. This new complex is their largest outside the USA and has been built with the intension of supporting Microsoft’s online services which include the Azure hosting platform and the newly launched Bing Search Engine.
One of the reasons for choosing Ireland was apparently the climate which means the company can utilize and outside air cooling system and which will lead to greater efficiency in its power supply.
Microsoft is likely to continue its expansion with a vision to place datacentres all over the globe.
