All the major search engines need to be aware of the relevance and importance the iPad has on how users search for information. Google, for example, have already introduced an iPad app allowing users to access emails, undertake searches and other Google products.
The iPad has been warmly received and has been praised for being very user friendly. Duncan Parry, who writes for Search Engine Watch, suggests that now the iPad has arrived there is still some fine tuning to be done and there are several ways for it to be innovated. First he suggests expanding its touch screen facilities and voice based searching. He also goes on to suggest that geo-targeting is essential by making searches more relevant to the users changing mobile location. The iPad, although still in its infancy, is a welcome addition to the ever expanding world of information technology.
