Bing & Yahoo! Join Forces

Yesterday it was announced that Yahoo! And Microsoft's new search engine Bing has officially joined forces creating potential competition with the market leader Google.

Shashi Seth, Senior VP of Yahoo! said “I am pleased to announce that the transition of organic search between Yahoo! and Microsoft is complete”. He went on to add “With this week's milestone behind us, Yahoo! will continue to drive technology innovation in the search market to bring more value to users and advertisers alike”.

A recent survey showed that Google have 66.2% of the market share with Yahoo! and Bing having 17.1% and 11% respectively. With the merger Yahoo! bring with them a substantial portion of the market and Bing are contributing their advanced search technology.
